On The Sewing Front

Spent the afternoon working on Christmas presents for our twin Grandkids.  Our eleven year old Grandson is very interested in the Marine Corps much to the delight of his Grandparents.  After finding a huge volume of Marine Corps history complete with awesome pictures and text that will keep the interest of an eleven year old boy I was on the hunt for a little something extra.  Found some sanctioned Marine Corps fabric and decided to sew up some pillow cases for our Grandson's bed, not sure pillow cases are something a young man really desires but I am betting the Marine Corps theme will win him over.

Our cheerful, artistic, girly-girl Granddaughter has a purple, neon pink and neon green bedroom.  Believe me the walls can keep you awake at night - ask me how I know!  After a bit of hunting I was able to find some fabric that will blend right in with her far out color scheme.

Made three pillowcases for each Grandchild, my thinking was that they would have two to use in their rooms and one to share with their best friend if they choose.

Felt good to sit down and actually sew something besides hems on handwoven towels, it has been awhile.

Off to work on weaving projects.

Happy Weaving.
