X's and O's

Just pulled two wool overshot rugs from my Swedish loom.   They are both woven in a overshot pattern that I designed using graph paper.  One rug shows the cream side - and the other of course is the opposite showing the blue side.  Lots of heavy beating to get the Swedish rug warp to bend to my will thankfully it eventually cooperated.

Cream side up!

Blue side up!

Guess you can guess from the pictures that I am a clog wearer.  I admit I have worn clogs since I was a teen in the 70's and have never looked back.  Danskos are my favorite but if I ever find another pair of Olaf Daughter clogs they will be mine!

Happy Weaving!

  2. Oh what pretty rugs! Nope not a clog person but I sure wish I was. I love those Haflinger slippers I see around town, so cute.

  3. Hey you. What beautiful rugs, but then again all you make is wonderful, well at least the 4 pieces I have purchased are fantastic. I bought a stunning red and purple scarf from you about two years ago. Finally gave it to my sister this last Feb for her birthday. I don't believe she has taken it off ONCE these last 7 weeks. A true testament to your talent.
