Wild Scottish Heather

I like to think these twill towels remind me of fields of heather growing wild and free on the Moors of Scotland.  So romantic to think about....

In reality these towels were woven as a custom order for a repeat Etsy client.  Lots of work - I am crossing my fingers the lady actually likes them.

Now that this warp is off my Gilmore loom I have time to play with my new-to-me Glimakra Ideal.  Poor Swede, he has been waiting patiently for his turn to weave with me.

Happy Weaving!

  1. How can anyone not love those beautiful towels? I'm betting they will be treasured both for their beauty and their usefulness. Have fun with the Swede!

  2. Lovely towels - very cheery feel good colors.

  3. Those towels are GORGEOUS! If your custom customer isn't thrilled (as she should be), you can sell them in a heartbeat FOR SURE!

  4. If your customer doesn't like them... she's got very poor taste then! You will be able to sell them, if you haven't already, in a second! I just popped over from Crazyasaloom's blog to say hi and to become your newest follower. I'm brand new to weaving and so excited to find your lovely blog! Hugs for now from brrrr New Hampshire...

    1. Hi Elizabeth, I am delighted you found my blog. Thank you for the lovely compliments about the towels, I appreciate it. Happy to hear that you are learning to weave. Happy Weaving!
